UPDATES - DBW!
May 2nd
Our season is fast approaching and we are very excited. To date, we have 31 members on our team. Key issues below:
- Register with ASA - You MUST be registered with Atlanta Swim Association BEFORE the first meet in order to participate. This is a league rule. To register, go to Atlanta Swim Association website and click on the Thriva link on the home page to register. If you have signed up with the team, you have one more step! http://www.atlantaswimming.com/nasahome.asp
- Register with the Team - if you want to try the team out for two weeks without a financial committment, you can do that. However, we do ask that every family pay both team and ASA dues before the first meet. You need to complete a team registration form (even if you do not pay until later) before the first practice. The form is attached and the mailboxes that you can place them is on the form. This is our "permission slip" and more importantly emergency contact information.
- The calendar for May/June is attached. This has practice times and which pool!. Click on the tabs at the bottom to see the May and June calendars. Practice starts next Monday, May 9 (Brrrrrrr!)
- Adult Swim Team: For any moms and dads interested in a summer swim team, join the Medlock Bridge Manatees. Our own Coach Joji will be coaching that adult team. Four family friendly meets on Friday nights in June - two practices optional. Have your kids come cheer for you! To join click on the atlanta swimming link above, then click on leagues - then adult and register.
- Team Suit: A team suit is not required but they look fantastic! If you want to order a suit and were not able to make it today, go to our team website (thanks to jeff budd) and click on the "on line swim shop" link to order a team suit. (Free shipping if ordered before May 8) The size chart and chosen suit are available from that link
