DBW Update for Week of 5/22/2011

Weekly swim team update before our Time Trial meet on Tuesday.
Practice Schedule: make sure you note that the practice times and pools are now different. We practice both in morning and evening and at Waterford and Brooke Farm pools. The calendar is attached - click on tabs for may and june.
Waterford Pool: Practices AND Time Trials are at Waterford pool. Address is 4565 Dellrose Drive for those new to the team.
Time Trials and Pictures: Time trials are tuesday. Swimmers arrive at 4:30. We will take team photo and hope to start around 5:15 or so. This is a great "dry run"
- We still need 2 Timers, Master Recorder, Deck Manager, Meet set up/Clean-up for time trials. See below to volunteer if you have not already done so. Please fill up the timer, master recorder slot first. These are essential.
RSVP and Volunteer for Meets: Our team is so small that we are dependant on every single family to help out in a big way at time trials and the meets. We need you to log onto our team website which is listed below with your email address. The password is gobullfrogs. Click on meet on the left. You can then click on the RSVP and the volunteer buttons. RSVP lets us know if you are going to be there. This helps us SOOOO much when Coach Joji makes the meet line up and helps Karen Ashley know how much food to purchase for consessions. Volunteering is essential. Website: If you can not log into the website please reply to this email. This is how you RSVP, volunteer, look at photos and look up results after the meet.
Registration: There are a few swimmers that have not registered with Atlanta Swim Association. If you plan on swimming in the regular season YOU MUST REGISTER WITH ASA before the first meet. For those families that are trying swim team out, you have until the first meet to make a decision. If you have not registered with ASA and/or the team by the end of the week, I will be emailing you to ask you your desires so we can make sure all are properly registered. Hopefully after time trials you will have a good feel for the coach, swimmers, practices, other families, and an idea about the meets. The link to ASA http://www.atlantaswimming.com/index.asp. Text Messages: Phone numbers have been entered and a test text message was sent out today. IF you want to get emergency text messages AND DID NOT GET THE TEST TEXT TODAY (ie practice cancellation bc of weather) please reply to this email with your name and cell number.
