    Practice information

    Parents,

We are off to a great start.  It's been wonderful to see some new and some familiar faces at the pool.  With the warm weather, this week, many of the kids have asked about getting in the water for practice.  I do have word that the pool is ready to be used.  Have your child(ren) come to the pool ready for dry land AND with their swim suit.  The six and under age group may still only do dry land because the water is still very cold.  Everyone should be prepared to do either dry land or in water practice (wear work out clothes and tennis shoes, come with a water bottle, sun screen, goggles, a towel and either wear or bring a swim suit).

Next week, we will begin practice at 5:00 p.m.(6 and under 5:00 - 5:30, 7-10 year old 5:30 to 6:15 and 11 and up from 6:15 to 7:00) to allow Coach Katie to work with every age group (and still keep her full time jobwink).  Madison Demetry, Savanna Daley, and Haley Shaw will also be working with Coach Katie. Under her direction, these assistant coaches will lead practice on some occasions.

Remember that practice, during the month of May, is at Brooke Farm in the afternoon. Our swim suit fittings will be held May 9 from 4:30 until 6:00 at the Brooke Farm pool.We will not have practice on Fridays or in the morning until June.  Additionally, we will not have practice on Memorial Day. Our first meet is an away meet at Deerfield-Spalding Lake on Tuesday, May 27.

Finally, we could really use some more swimmers for our team.  Please help by reaching out to some families who could join the team.

    Sincerely,

    Wendy Clyne
