Hello All - hope you enjoyed the holiday weekend are ready for our first meet!

There is a lot to cover - we apologize in advance for the lengthy email.  Please read it all (or at least the most important reminders are in bold print).

We have an away meet this Tuesday (tomorrow!) at Huntcliff.  Address is 9072 River Run, Atlanta, GA 30350.  Please arrive by 4:30 so we can get everyone checked in.  Meet starts at 5:30.  We still need volunteers for Deck Manager, Bullpen, Computer, Place Judge, and Timer.  Please help out if you can - sign up online or let us know what you can help with when you arrive. 

Practice Tue morning - If your kids aren't in camp and can make it we have a 30-min practice on swim meet days at BF pool starting at 9am (10&Under 9am, 11&Up 9:30).  This is an opportunity for them to practice the events they are swimming, especially starts (dives) and turns, backstroke counts, etc.  They can get their events written on their arms (or legs) if they want.

Rain Makeup - We are planning for a rain makeup in case that is needed.  Their coach has suggested Thursday 6/2 but we have asked them to consider Wed. 6/1 (league management suggests NOT rescheduling on Thursday bc other teams in the league swim that night and it's hard to find refs).  Stay tuned.  If the meet is rescheduled we'll need to know if that changes your RSVP.

The meet entries are attached.  Please note that with the small numbers we have and a 6-lane pool ALL swimmers (with the exception of 6&Under, they only swim 2 events) are ENTERED in at least 3 events and all our boys are entered in EVERY eligible event (that's 6 total).  They DO NOT have to swim every event they are entered in, we just have to enter them so the line-up is "legal" (i.e. follows all the league rules - no swimmer in an age group can be assigned an add'l event unless all swimmers in the group are entered in the same number of events).

Parking/Seating - Huntcliff has ample parking for visitors but no shade.  Don't forget sunscreen!  If you have a canopy you can bring, that would be great!  The visiting team bullpen area is on the grass next to the pool (and in full sun!).  Bring chairs too if you like.  The kids will just be sitting on their towels so have them bring 2.

Concessions/Food - At swim meets all home teams provide concessions (we'll need your help with that next week!).  It is usually something on the grill, likely burgers and dogs (in the past Huntcliff has also done brats w/onions and peppers).  Please plan accordingly if anyone in your family has dietary restrictions.  We highly recommend everyone bring their own water bottle!

Post Swim Meet Celebration - We typically gather at Yogli Mogli after each meet (many other teams do as well) and we should be the first ones there since our teams are so small!!  If post-meet plans change we'll spread the word at the meet.

Looking forward to our first meet!  We have a small team but in some ways that makes it more fun and relaxing, and definitely gives our kids more opportunities to swim!  We are the small but mighty Bullfrogs!!!
