DBW Meet Updates

Dear all,
We appreciate all the parents that have helped out with making sure the team gets organized during time trials and pre-meet things. However, we still need some more help on the parents' side. So, we are going to let y'all know some things we normally do before and during meets to establish some structure to a chaotic environment.
- Here's where we need your help:
- On days when we have meets or time trials, please arrive approximately 1 hr before the start time. This gives us enough time for the coach to get swimmers checked into their events -- which includes writing the event information (heat & lane) on their arms.
- In-season meets start at 5:30 pm. Please arrive at 4:30 pm.
- Our 1st meet (Tonight, Tuesday, 5/30) will start at 5:30 pm, but we have Picture Day, too. Please arrive at 4:00 pm.
- Pre-meet:
- Please sign your child up for events for all meets on the website. We "close" the sign-up for each meet at Friday 3 pm before the following Tuesday meet.
- Note: Coaches may change the event your child swims (or remove your child from an event) based on Team needs.
- We need Parent Volunteers to help at every home meet (sometimes we are asked to help with volunteers at Away meets). A set of volunteers will help with the 1st half of the meet and a different set of volunteers will help with the 2nd half of the meet. Please sign-up as a volunteer on the website. In some cases, volunteers may be solicited before the meet starts.
