Hello, Bullfrogs!!

We hope this note finds you well. We also hope you are planning
to get back in the pool in a few months with the DBW swim team!

This email is to let you know that plans are underway for what we hope will be a more normal swim team season. We likely will still be operating under some COVID-related restrictions, and we will communicate those details as we have them. What WILL return to normal is the traditional schedule - first meet Tue 5/25 (yes this is before Memorial day, so that is different but manageable), last meet Mon 6/21, practice starting mid-May. Yet to be determined is if meets will be in-person, virtual, or a combination. The league is allowing participation of younger swimmers who need hands-on assistance (this is a change from last year), so yay for that!

If you missed last season and want to know how the “virtual” meets went, please reach out and ask someone. It was a different season for sure but a successful one, and lots of fun – more laid back, less stress. We so appreciate the families who were able
to stick with it under the circumstances, and totally understand why some couldn’t. We do hope our wonderful Bullfrog tradition will continue in 2021. We’re proud to
say we were one of only 30 teams out of 125+ in the league that chose to participate
last year. Our team has always had a special kind of commitment!

What we need to know from you now is what your current plan is for swim team. As always, this helps with planning. Please respond with one of the following, based on your family’s situation:

All-in – We are planning to fully participate with X swimmers. Can’t wait!

Yes, but… - We are interested in swim team but participation will depend on type
of meets (let us knwo if you prefer in-person or virtual)

Maybe – We love swim team but will need to check the family calendar and get back to
you.

Not this year – We can’t participate in 2021, but hope to be back next year (or
if your kid(s) have aged out/moved on, let us know).

Also, please spread the word to neighbors and friends – we are always looking to expand our small but mighty team!
