    PLEASE READ - Important Update

    Dear Fellow (Bull)Froggers:

    GOOD news:
The Atlanta Swim Association (ASA) has given us the GREEN light!

    NOT so good news:
In a word the season will be - DIFFERENT than what we've done in the past.

Below you will find more details after my signature but I want to highlight the biggest differences here...

    • Swimmers who need literal HANDS ON instruction will NOT be able to participate this season. This affects many younger sibs and we're bummed about it.
    • Swimmers who fall under the CDC guidelines of vulnerable populations OR have contact with people in that category should also not participate.
    • No non-members of Brooke Farm HOA will be allowed on the pool deck during practices or other events (with exception of volunteer roles for virtual meets.
(MUST ALL pools are members only right now. We are very blessed that Brooke Farm is making an exception for swim team members.) yeesss, this includes the baby pool.
    • Non-member swimmers will be required to leave the pool after their practice time slot (i.e. no chilling on the steps or open lanes or baby pool).
    • All teams will hold "virtual meets" vs. home/away. We will run the events during practice time(s) and enter into the system. The other team will do the same and the results will be tallied. We will still have ribbons and celebrations.

The ASA is asking for our team's FINAL commitment by today. Luckily, we have been granted a few days extension but only until Monday. IF YOU HAVE CHANGED YOUR MIND since the survey about your participation this season - PLEASE LET US KNOW ASAP. Just a quick reply to this email will do. I am available for questions if you have any.

I regret to inform you we do NOT have a schedule right now. We are working with Brooke Farm to confirm. There WILL be a lifeguard at ALL practices.

Tentative plan: Practice begin week of 6/22-7/30. Projected practice time is 9-11am. (youngest to eldest)

    Please respond ASAP. Thank you!
    K
